Validation of a SNP-KASP marker for the Fusarium head blight resistance quantitative trait loci on chromosome 5AS

چکیده
Fusarium head blight (FHB) is a devastating wheat disease with significant economic impact. Fhb5 an important quantitative trait loci (QTL) conferring type I resistance to FHB. In this study, we accessed the usability of Kompetitive allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (KASP) marker for QTL on Fhb-5AS. The KASP clustering results were compared linked simple sequence repeat marker, wmc705 Qfhb-5AS. Our indicate that single-nucleotide polymorphic locus wsnp_Ra_c24707_34262900 (IWA7777) provides reliable information Qfhb-5AS-based and would be amenable masker-assisted selection, introgression loci, pyramiding FHB in cultivars.

Effects of Marker Density, Number of Quantitative Trait Loci and Heritability of Trait on Genomic Selection Accuracy
The success of genomic selection mainly depends on the extent of linkage disequilibrium (LD) between markers and quantitative trait loci (QTL), number of QTL and heritability (h2) of the traits. The extent of LD depends on the genetic structure of the population and marker density. This study was conducted to determine the effects of marker density, level of heritability, number of QTL, and to ...
متن کاملIdentification of a Novel Fusarium Head Blight Resistance Quantitative Trait Locus on Chromosome 7A in Tetraploid Wheat.
ABSTRACT Fusarium head blight (FHB) caused by Fusarium graminearum is one of the most destructive diseases of durum (Triticum turgidum sp. durum) and common wheat (T. aestivum). Promising sources of FHB resistance have been identified among common (hexaploid) wheats, but the same is not true for durum (tetraploid) wheats. A previous study indicated that chromosome 7A from T. turgidum sp. dicocc...
متن کاملValidation, Saturation, and Marker-Assisted Selection of Quantitative Trait Loci Conferring Adult Plant Resistance to Powdery
Powdery mildew caused by Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici is one of the most devastating diseases in wheat (Triticum aestivum) worldwide. Hypersensitive, race specific genes primarily have been deployed to control the disease, however recent efforts have shifted to breeding for more durable resistance, such as ‘adult plant resistance’ (APR). Molecular markers and quantitative trait loci (QTL) a...
